Wild and Woolly

Maggie is lively, lovely, and lissom. She is also gay, gallivanting, and gorgeous loves dancing and dining, bright lights, and sandy beaches. Has black hair, brown eyes, and long legs. An absolute tonic at a party. And, to cut a long story short, is a perfect eyeful.

Pick of the Post

We had one of those exhilarating months with the post. It came in through the window one day on account of the postman not having time to bring it through the door. He was in a hurry to get back to the sorting office to help out a new lady sorter with green eyes. Still, he did leave us with an envelope that contained some very alluring photographs of a Brighton girl called MARGARET SMITH, and we thought she was just the girl we could devote this monthly feature to.

Margaret works in a Brighton office. Haphazard men keep popping into the office to ask the way to the pier. It's not because they're haphazard about where the pier is, but because they're falling to pieces over the allure of Margaret and it's the only way, they can keep in touch with her.

Friends Frolicking in the Countryside. These pictures are from sets that appeared in Spick No’s 116 & 117 (July and August 1963) and which were regurgitated for our enjoyment again in Spick & Span Extra No 55, Summer 1975.

These, of course, have been colourised; the jury is out as far as I am concerned, but definitely worth a showing. Many thanks for this contribution.

Is That Me

No, is it really me? asks pretty SYLVIA STUART, office girl in an old town of Ayrshire. I mean what would mother say. Nothing I suppose, except does your grandmother know you've been to her chest. Smashing, aren't they? The beatniks aren't so crazy as I thought.

Well, I mean, they may not be a frightfully artistic adornment, but think of their worth up in the cold Highlands.

Pardon me - I was just getting ready to take a bath. But I'm not ready yet and my forthcoming immersion is the result of a mere slip. Of the feet. If it's too hot or too cold I shall yell my head off.

Oh, well, once you're in you're in, and once you're wet, you're all wet. Did I ever tell you about my grandfather all steamed up a Turkish bath? He didn't go off the boil for days.

Unchained

When lovely Reading girl JACKIE WEST got married, she thought it was going to be all kitchens, sinks and hot ovens. Being utterly in love she thought she'd take the rough with the smooth, like, but after being carried over the threshold and put into the best armchair she heard him say,

"Now you just stay there while I put the kettle on.”

What a prize feller. Jackie felt unchained at once. The fact is hubby is very mod and likes being in the kitchen as much as she does.

Elegance

WELL. there's nothing quite like that elongated cigarette-holder to cap the elegance of AUDREY CRANE, a London model with a flair for looking gracefully streamlined. If there's one thing more than another which turns a guy's head that away it's feminine elegance-providing the girl doesn't use the cigarette-holder to poke his eye out.

Confirming elegance is the attribute of more than one girl is auburn-haired SANDRA DARVOS, also of London. Sandra has vitalistics of 36"-22"-35" and Audrey tapes up to 36"-23"-36", which represent figures acceptable to both them and us.

To some men, boats or kites represent the ultimate in interests outside their work. But what boat or kite can possibly have the lines to compete with the curves of Sandra and Audrey?

Or are we plain old fashioned in preferring photogenic elegance to kites caught up on TV aerials? A boat, of course, is a practical necessity to row a girl down the river but other than that, who cares?

No Matter What

No matter what we present to you in the way of new faces and new features, there's always one more fan requesting the pleasure of seeing JUDIE JAYSON again.

So here she is. And we quite agree. She always looks just right. Judie can cook, too. Not that she gets a lot of time in the kitchen, she's too busy right now with film parts.

Some people have the right idea. Film people with discrimination are among them. They know what you know-that Judie in front of a camera is one of the most photogenic girls in the biz.

Extremely photogenic is Scottish pin-up SARA STUART, and whenever we're in the highlands we spend our time looking for her. Usually, Sara sees us first and goes off to Ireland until we've gone away.

Something Comfortable

When a woman gets into something comfortable, she can't half look like a sailor's dream of a transcendental mermaid.

There are exceptions of course, like untidy women in rotten old dressing-gowns.

Still, live and let live, we can't all be exotic film stars.

And we can't all be like SHIRLEY LINDEN, either. Some of us have to sit up all night keeping the lighthouse going. One way of making the time pass blissfully is thinking about Shirley in something comfortable.

Looks a knockout, don't you think?

Shirley of course, is a model. All models look ravishing in something comfortable. Aside from all the glamour of it, Shirley could design her own interior decor and whitewash the garden wall as well. She likes cooking, reading and going round the art galleries.

On The Fringe

We couldn't say much about the fringe because it's not our province, but there's room at least to tell you that long-legged dancer JANET ROSS sports the cutest figure in the front line.

Janet has danced in all the major European capitals, has listened to the gondoliers of Venice and matadors of Spain, and still likes the undisguised frankness of a London taxi-driver caught in a jam. There's music in us all.

BrazenBooks Open For Business

The sharper-eyed of you may have noticed that the more exotic fetish sections on this site have disappeared - namely the bondage, rubber and spanking orientated books and topics. They were very popular with some, but I personally did not think they sat that well alongside the likes of ToCo and QT - I really want to keep things here focused that way.

So, over the last few months, I have been putting together another site focused on all things BDSM - Bondage, Rubber, Spanking, Adult Comics and a lot more. Primarily this will be a bookstore, though it will also have the occasional post and collector information pages when I get the time.

Occasionally I am offered vintage collections of books and films which fall into these genres, and which are quite rare and hard to find. I have amassed a considerable amount of these over the years, which I will use as the foundation for this new site - no point in hiding them all away in boxes! There are some excellent quality, rare, original printed books available, which I have mainly acquired from deceased estates. What you do tend to find with these types of collections is that they are generally in excellent condition compared to Pin-Up and Glamour collections. I put this down to the fact that they are usually lovingly preserved; catalogued and hidden away in the darkest of cupboards - unlike a lot of Pin-Up and Glamour books that were readily available at the newsagents in the 1960’s & 70’s, and frequently thumbed by all and sundry at work!

The few books that I did make available on Vintage Fetish were very popular, so I am hoping that will carry over to this new bookstore.

And an interesting fact that surprised me when looking into the site statistics:- the most searched word on this site is bondage - not stockings or legs as you might have expected, but bondage!
